"Sharps-Borchardt Model 1878 .45-70 (AL8038)

"

Serial No. 15468, circa 1878-1881, 45-70, 32.25"" round barrel. Barrel and receiver are a dark grey patina with light surface oxidation noted. The barrel is marked ""Old Reliable-Sharps rifle Co.Bridgeport Conn."" Receiver is marked with standard address markings. Bore is has surface frosting and pitting noted at the muzzle, strong rifling is present. Stock has expected nicks and dings from usage and handling wear. Comes with bayonet.
