This presents for sale an absolutely beautiful and perfect condition Model 65 sporting rifle, produced by Schultz & Larsen Rifle Company, formerly of Denmark. This fine rifle has a sporter - weight 24 inch barrel, with a 1.5 inch twist, chambered for the exceptionally popular 30-06 Springfield cartridge and providing superb accuracy. This rifle and scope, both, in absolutely perfect condition and appearing factory new, exudes top quality and fine craftsmanship at a very reasonable price! Barrels for the Model 65 rifle were made to the highest standards, factory cut and honed!
Known as one of the highest quality and smoothest bolt actions ever made, with its short throw, smooth 60 degree bolt, the exceptionally strong Mauser-style action has four locking lugs, whereas, the highly reputed Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 action has only two locking lugs.
The bolt face encloses the cartridge head entirely; the Pre-64 Model 70 does not!
Proper and fast loading of the rifle entails, first, dropping a cartridge in the action, closing the bolt and placing the safety in “on” position; next, opening the floor plate, dropping in three cartridges and close the floor plate. That’s all there is to it!
Both the blue metal finish and bordered / checkered straight-grain stock and scope sight of this rifle are in as-new condition. The stock is equipped with sling-swivel studs and a ventilated pad with a 13.25” length of pull.

This presents for sale an absolutely beautiful and perfect condition Model 65 sporting rifle, produced by Schultz & Larsen Rifle Company, formerly of Denmark. This fine rifle has a sporter - weight 24 inch barrel, with a 1.5 inch twist, chambered for the exceptionally popular 30-06 Springfield cartridge and providing superb accuracy. This rifle and scope, both, in absolutely perfect condition and appearing factory new, exudes top quality and fine craftsmanship at a very reasonable price! Barrels for the Model 65 rifle were made to the highest standards, factory cut and honed!
Known as one of the highest quality and smoothest bolt actions ever made, with its short throw, smooth 60 degree bolt, the exceptionally strong Mauser-style action has four locking lugs, whereas, the highly reputed Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 action has only two locking lugs.
The bolt face encloses the cartridge head entirely; the Pre-64 Model 70 does not!
Proper and fast loading of the rifle entails, first, dropping a cartridge in the action, closing the bolt and placing the safety in “on” position; next, opening the floor plate, dropping in three cartridges and close the floor plate. That’s all there is to it!
Both the blue metal finish and bordered / checkered straight-grain stock and scope sight of this rifle are in as-new condition. The stock is equipped with sling-swivel studs and a ventilated pad with a 13.25” length of pull.
The subject AS-NEW Schultz & Larsen rifle is topped with a mint-condition Bucuresti IOR model 4 x 32 x 1 scope, with crosshairs, yielding perfect clarity. The scope is equipped with flip-up lens covers and the mounts are attached to the scope bases with allen screws.
(Note: IOR, short for Romanian Optical Enterprise, with its headquarters in Bucharest, Romania, is one of the major and hi-end optics companies, established in 1936. During WWII the company produced first military scopes and, after the war, obtained reputation of one of the best optics companies alongside famous western manufacturers from Germany.)
This Schultz & Larsen bolt rifle and its fine Bucuresti scope sight are in as-new condition and present a fine representation of what high-end factory production sporting rifles used to be.
This fine, beautiful rifle and scope remains in absolutely perfect condition.
