Excellent Boxed Savage Arms Model 71 Stevens "Favorite" 22 S,L,LR
Description: Serial #07351SF, .22 S, L, LR, 22 inch octagon barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Stevens "Favorite" commemorative rifle manufactured by Savage Arms. In excellent condition the barrel retains virtually all, 99% plus original blue finish with the frame showing comparable amounts of vivid case-hardened colors with "STEVENS FAVORITE" highlighted in gold on both sides. The lever and hammer retain all their original gold wash with the some age tarnish on the buttplate. The smooth walnut buttstock and forend are excellent with some nice figure and a gold medallion embedded in the right-side butt with Joshua Stevens' visage and 'FATHER OF 22 HUNTING' underneath. There is a sporting rear sight with gold wash elevator, as is the large front sight. It comes in the original cardboard and styrofoam box with commemorative labeling on the inside carton. An excellent example of these 1971 built commemorative remake rifles. FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
