Sako L579 Forester Bofors steel in the 79,000 serial range. .243 Winchester. Comes with the medium height Leupold rings pictured. Barrel has been professionally recrowned. Blueing around the front sight isn't perfect, front sight was removed and re-sweated on. Like all Sako's this gun shoots great. 1/2" groups with multiple reloads.
Stock is the original with work done by stock maker Dave Reed of Andes NY. Dave added ebony forend tip and grip cap, recut the checkering, bedded the recoil lug area, added the decorative reinforcing pins, and refinished it. He did a beautiful job.
