1971 Vintage Sako L61R Finnbear chambered in .30-06 Springfield ** Beautiful & Unfired !! ** SOLD

Description:
This mint pre-Garcia imported 1971 vintage Sako Model L61R Finnbear in .30-06 Springfield is an all-original beauty and has obviously lived a very easy life. This Finnbear features a 24" barrel, gloss blue finish, ramped front sight with hood, checkered walnut stock with gloss finish, and L61R action with three lug bolt. These vintage Sako Forester's are sought-after by shooters and collectors alike as they are considered one of the finest regular production rifles ever made. The Finnbear quickly earned a reputation as being a beautifully-made and well-balanced rifle that is reliable, accurate, and very attractive. This particular .30-06 Springfield example is in beautiful condition overall. The gloss blue finish is in excellent condition across the entirety of the barrel with the exception of an extremely small amount of light handling marks. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and no visible imperfections or corrosion. The original factory stock is in equally as excellent condition with no signs of cracks, chips, or repairs, just an extremely small amount of surface handling marks. The checkered panels are still crisp and all of the original stock hardware is still intact and in superb condition. All of the controls on this Sako are in perfect working order, and the action is extremely smooth when worked and turns into battery perfectly. The trigger on this Sako is excellent, breaking like a glass rod with a very light pull with no grit or slop. The bolt face shows no signs of wear or firing and the action has never had rings mounted to it. This Sako would be an excellent addition to any rifle collection as both an investment and shooter.  They do not make them like this anymore!
