1967 Vintage Sako Finnbear L61R Rifle in .270 Winchester w/ Vintage Redfield 4-12X Scope ** Beautiful Pre-Garcia Non-Import Sako! ** SOLD

Description:
These early-production pre-import Sako L61R Finnbear rifles made in Finland are really some of the nicest rifles ever built.  These early Finnbears quickly earned a reputation for being extremely well-made and attractive rifles that were both reliable and supremely accurate.  This particular example is chambered in .270 Winchester and was made circa 1967.  This all-original rifle appears to have been used very little and been well-cared for over the years.  The original high-polish blue finish is in excellent condition and still shows glossy and bright.  The bore in this Finnbear is in superb condition.  It is mirror-bright and clean with nice sharp lands and grooves still showing in the rifling.  There is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections of any kind visible.  The original factory diamond-checkered Walnut stock is also in excellent condition.  The checkered panels are still clean and crisp and there are no cracks, chips, or repairs in the wood.  The stock comes with factory installed sling swivels and a recoil pad.  The sling swivels are in excellent condition but the original recoil pad has somewhat collapsed as the rubber has lost its flexibility.  The action on this Sako is as smooth and slick as they come.  The bolt goes into battery perfectly with no slop.  All of the rifle's controls work 100% like the day it left the factory.  This L61R Finnbear comes with a vintage Redfield 4 to 12 power scope with an adjustable objective lens mounted on factory Sako rings.  The scope is in perfect working order and the optics are bright and crystal clear.  We have no doubt it will hold zero today as well as it did when it was brand new.  Also included with the rifle is a leather U.S.G.I. style sling already mounted up.  If you have been looking for a new classic rifle for your collection that is truly top-of-the-line, this Sako Finnbear in .270 Winchester would be a great choice.  You could carry this vintage rifle with pride into any hunting lodge or range in the world.
