FS: A bolt-action Ruger rifle, caliber .458 Winchester Magnum. Rifle has a total length of approx. 44.5 in; barrel length approx. 24 in; handy, well balanced with the appropriate weight for the strong caliber; magazine with hinged lid. The barrel is sparkling clean inside without any roughness visible to the eye - from the cartridge chamber to the undamaged muzzle. Built in 1978. Stock (without cheek piece) has high-gloss finish; length from the direct trigger to the middle of the butt cap approx. 13.6 in; straight comb, pistol grip; long-grained, high gloss fine, non-slip checkering which does not "bite"; black soft rubber butt cap and black cap as the fore-end cap. Small handling marks from handling on the stock and foreend. System: "Ruger Original Tang Safety Model" with long extractor á la 98 with 3-position safety on the side at the back right of the bolt; this enables loading and unloading when the rifle is in the safe position; quiet operation and clearly visible and palpable locking. Dry direct trigger. Black, high-gloss blued system and barrel with open "tropical sights", front sight/rear sight base and studs for the sling swivel each pulled over the barrel with a steel ring: this is durable and does not require gluing etc. The rifle was just professionally valued at $2900+.
