1972 Ruger Model 77 Rifle in .257 Roberts Caliber w/ Refield Scope

Description: This is a Ruger 77 you won't come across too often! This Ruger M77 factory chambered in .257 Roberts was made in 1972 and is in excellent all-original condition. This vintage Ruger has the sought-after early production tang safety and a beautiful checkered American Walnut stock. The original gloss blue finish is in spectacular condition, rating 98% plus with no signs of wear or corrosion visible. The bore is minty and bright, and still has sharp lands and grooves in the rifling. There is no pitting, erosion, or imperfections of any kind visible. The 24" inch barrel features factory iron sights that are quite attractive and stout. It is our opinion that this vintage Ruger M77 has some of the best iron sights of any production rifle made during this period. The original factory checkered Walnut stock is also in excellent shape. It is free from cracks or repairs, and only has some tiny handling marks visible under close inspection. The stock features a checkered pistol grip and forearm, factory sling swivel studs, and a factory red Ruger recoil pad and a pistol grip cap with the Ruger logo. The length of pull is 13.75" inches to the end of the pad. Everything on this Ruger M77 functions 100% like the day it left the factory. The action is super smooth and locks up tight into battery. All of the controls work perfectly including the trigger, which is quite nice for a factory M77. This rifle comes with a vintage Redifeld Illuminator 3 to 9 power scope with "wide view" lenses. The optics in this scope are bright and crystal clear. The power adjusting ring and focus all turn smoothly with no grit, and both the elevation and windage adjustments work perfectly. This scope will definitely hold zero and is in excellent condition. If you have been looking for one of these early production tang safety Ruger Model 77s for your collection, this would be an excellent choice. You will rarely see one in .257 Roberts, much less in such great original condition as this one.
