"This unusual Romerwerk .22LR bolt action rifle has a .22 Semiautomatic Pistol embedded in the action. The overall length is approx. 43.5"". The approx. 26"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It is fitted with a ramped blade front sight and a two leaf rear sight. Just to the rear of the rear sight is the oval sword running through an R that is the Romerwerk logo Behind this, around the circumference is ROMERWERK A.G. Just in front of the receiver is Kal 22 Long rifle around the circumference. To the lower left are crown over B and U proof marks and the caliber designation, 5,3mm. The left side of the bolt action receiver is marked PATENT GERSTENBERGER - MORITZ. The gun has approx. 95% blue with wear on the magazine well. The bright bolt has the serial number and crown over B (indistinct) and U proofs. The schnabel tip stock is excellent with no chips or cracks, nice checkering at the wrist, The checkered hard rubber buttplate and pistol grip cap are fine. The left side of the stock has a safety lever that engages the pistol safety to operate. The rifle takes down by removing the magazine, setting the safety at bottom center, and turning the takedown lever on the bottom 90 degrees. The barrelled action can then be rotated out of the stock. To convert to pistol, the forward screw below the barrel is removed and the button inside the front of the rtigger guard is depaessed as the barrel is pulled forward. The bolt assembly is then rotated up to remove it. See the pictures. The pistol has RWS on the grips. These came equipped with 2.5"" and 6"" interchangeable barrels which are, unfotunately, not present. The action functions correctly. This interesting rifle is ready for your firearms curiosia collecction. I doubt you'll ever see another!
