1966 Vintage Marlin Golden 39A Model .22 Rimfire Lever-Action Rifle SOLD
Description: This is a 1966 production Marlin Golden 39A Model lever-action .22 caliber repeating rifle. It is all-original and is in excellent condition. The original factory gloss blue finish is beautiful and rates 98%, and the bore is minty with perfect rifling and no pitting or imperfections of any kind. The thinly-applied original gold-colored finish on the trigger shows wear but still has some of the gold finish in the protected areas. The American Walnut stock set is all-original and in excellent condition. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and only show some minor handling/storage marks. It is obvious that this Golden 39A has spent the vast majority of it's life in storage and has been carried or fired VERY little. Many collectors and enthusiasts consider these vintage Marlin .22 caliber lever-action rifles one of the best American-made rimfire rifles ever made. All-original and clean examples like this one are very sought-after and continue to appreciate in value every year. If you have been looking for a "collector grade" example for your collection here is your chance to get one that would be very hard up to upgrade.
