Description: Custom Model 70 Classic in .375 H&H by C&G Firearms Ltd., Hertfordshire, England with a 24" Winchester barrel with island ramp front sight and ERA island rear sight with one standing leaf. Modern Model 70 Classic controlled round feed action with the time honored Holland & Holland style lever release scope mount with 30mm rings. Winchester bottom metal. Stocked in the English style with highly figured Burl English Walnut that has perfect grain flow through the wrist. Pancake cheekpiece, point pattern checkering, ebony forend tip, and steel skeleton grip cap with checkered center. Engraved forward crossbolt and interesting two screw inletted rear sling stud with engraved screws. Stock oval with original owner's initials dated 2009. LOP is 14 1/2" over a Decelerator pad. Weighs in at 9lb 13oz without scope. This is a nice piece from a little known but obviously very capable English maker. The Holland&Holland quick detach mount is very solid and highly desirable.
