Kimber of Oregon Model 89 African .375 H&H Magnum. Serial AF0228 has a 24-inch barrel (banded and hooded front ramp with brass-beaded blade and lifting moon bead, banded sling swivel stud, second recoil lug, quarter rib with fixed express blade and a second green folder). Features include integral mount bases with recoil shoulders, full-length claw extractor, three-position safety and a drop box magazine. Kimber detachable rings (one inch, medium) are included. No box, papers or additional accessories are present. STOCK: Shaped from an exceptional blank of AA English walnut, formalities include an ebony forend tip, 24 lines-per-inch wrap checkering, twin crossbolts with ebony caps, bolt release pedestal, scalloped cheek rest with wrapping shadow line, trapdoor grip cap (houses extra front sight blade and wrench), inletted toe line sling swivel stud and a logo recoil pad. Each lug is bedded. CAPACITY: Seven rounds (six plus one). The extractor “snaps over” rounds dropped into the chamber. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with rings) is 9.2 pounds. Length-of-pull is 13.8 inches. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding, strong and bright. Mechanics operate properly. Barrel finish is approximately 97 percent with a trace of tarnish near the front sight. Action finish is approximately 98 percent and a uniform plum. Both extractor and bolt body have areas of surface tarnish (will be polished out by a professional gunsmith at purchaser's request).
