For sale is this Holland & Holland .375 Flanged Magnum Nitro Express Sidelock Double Rifle. The rifle features 26" barrels and hand detachable back action locks equipped with cocking indicators. The barrels state the “98 New Bond Street” address on the right and "WINNER OF ALL THE FIELD RIFLE TRIALS LONDON" on the left. This rifle has a quarter rib with two express folding leaf sights (300 Yds & 500 Yds), one fixed rear sight (50 - 200 Yds), and a ramp mounted front sight with flip up white moon-sight. The action and locks show floral border engravings and are marked, “HOLLAND & HOLLAND". Double triggers. Stock has Red Pachmayr Butt-Pad with Black Horn Spacer. Pistolgrip tang extends to the steel grip cap and the top tang extends onto the comb of the stock. The action and locks are of a gray patina with traces of faded original case-hardened areas. The triggerguard, grip cap with trapdoor compartment, and forend release retain 98% blueing overall. The checkered pistolgrip stock and forend are of beautifully figured walnut. Stock has shadow-line cheekpiece with sharp checkering on the grip and forend. LOP: 14 3/4". Weight: 9 lbs 15 oz. Automatic safety with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Tight lockup.
