SN: FR8-31702. Made in 1950 by Fabrica De Armas La Coruna. This firearm started out as a Model 1943 Mauser Short Rifle in 7.92x57mm but was then converted to 7.62x51mm in 1950 through the use of a 19-inch CETME assault rifle barrel assembly. The ""FR"" stands for Fusil Reformado in Spanish (""Converted Rifle""). Overall condition is very good but the bore is bright with strong rifling. The wood has the dings & dents that one would expect from a military service firearm but the finish on the metal parts is very good with an even aged patina.
