Tula SVT-40 Mfg 1941 7.62x54R
Description: This is a Russian SVT-40. The SVT-40 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x54R, designed by Fedor Tokarev in 1938, and after some modifcations, started mass production in 1940. It was intended to become the new standard issue rifle of the Soviet Army, but the German invasion stifled production which lead to more Mosin-Nagant rifles being produced and used. While this rifle most notably saw action in WWII (and the Winter War) it also saw action in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and is even being used in the current conflict in Ukraine. The Russian SVT-40 for here was manufactured in the in the Tula factory in 1941 (1941 is stamped on top of the receiver). All parts match (M945) including the wooden stock. “945” is stamped on the left side of the receiver and appears to be carved onto the bolt (this was done when it was re-aresenaled after WWII). Wooden stock is in fair shape with small scratches and dings throughout (see pictures). Blueing/Blackening on metal parts is in decent shape with some scratches. Comes with ONE 10 round magazine. WE CAN CONFIRM THAT THIS RIFLE SHOOTS WITH NO ISSUES (we shot it ourselves)!
