Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr Mannlicher Model M, 30-06 Springfield, Bolt-Action Carbine, Manufactured in 1969
Description:
Steyr Mannlicher Model M, .30-06 Springfield, bolt-action rifle with a 20-inch high-polished blued barrel, full walnut stock with high-polish finish, five-round internal rotary magazine, double-set trigger, jeweled bolt, sling swivels studs, new-condition leather sling, vented recoil pad, and a Vortex 4-12x40 scope, as well as a front sight and a mount for a rear sight. The plastic magazine floor plate is stamped with a bull elk in a nature setting, the rifle caliber, and the Steyer logo. The overall length of the rifle is 39¾; its length of pull is 14 ¾ inches, its unloaded weight is approximately 7.2 pounds. The year of manufacturing of the gun is 1969
The overall condition of this gun is 98 percent. The barrel and receiver with their high-polished luster bluing, and other metal parts are practically perfect, with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent.
The walnut stock and forend have beautiful high-luster finishes. However, there are a few small dents and scratches make the overall condition of the gun at 98 percent. The most notable of these are a scrap on the left side of the forend about about 1/3 of an inch scrape about 1¼ behind the muzzle; ½-inch arc-shaped dent on the left side of the forend, about three inches back from the muzzle; a ½-inch x ¾ inch area on the forend where the sling snap contacts the forend; some dings to the fine lines of the checkering (the type checker used makes this inevitable); and some other small and dents and dings in the stock, especially on the toe of the stock, but nothing major. The vented rubber Steyr recoil pad is in excellent condition. It is supple with no drying and related cracks. The leather sling and Vortex scope are like new.
