Although not marked Jules Bury it does have the Jules Bury hallmark on the receiver flat and Louis Christophe retailed largely, but not exclusively, Jules Bury guns. Master Belgium trained double rifle gunsmith and gunmaker J.J. Perodeau who installed the Warthog ivory in the front sight and the reflex sight base believes this to be a Jules Bury gun as do I. Mr. Perodeau also regulated this gun. It is very accurate with 480 grain Woodleigh softs and solids. Load data provided. It performed flawlessly for me on cape buffalo in Mozambique in 2018 and on buffalo and elephant in Zimbabwe in 2021. This is a great pre-war piece by one of Belgium's top tier makers in excellent overall condition with proper weight and balance as well as an excellent bores. Built the way a safari double rifle should be. The .450 #2 has the lowest pressures of the Nitro Express cartridges and the 3 1/2" case will give you the biggest gun in camp!
