Butt plate in excellent condition. Wgt. 6 lbs. Bore is clean and bright. Open rear adj. sight and a ramp front blade sight. Receiver grooved for scope. Includes an original M36 J.C. Higgins scope in excellent condition with clear lens. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 85% bluing. Stock and forend are in excellent condition with minimal handling marks. The J.C. Higgins were built by Hi - Standard and remain today a very stylish and elegant rifle. The model 36 was manufactured from 1955 to 1957 making this one a rare find with an original J.C. Higgins scope.
