Description:
This is a Jim Chambers custom rifle in the early Lancaster style c 1765-1775.  This exceptional gun represents early, but fully developed Lancaster style architecture at its finest.  Many guns of this style were used in the Revolutionary War and on the frontier during the expansion into the Carolinas, Kentucky and Tennessee.  This is a .54 caliber 44 inch barrel gun capable of taking any North American game.   This fine gun features XXX curly maple wood  with a sliding wood patchbox.  The detailed carving on this gun is outstanding.  Jim Chambers of North Carolina is one of the outstanding modern makers of these high art flintlock guns in the country.  The barrel features round grove rifling.  A real master piece that would be a star in any collection or a gun to take to the field.
