WORLD WAR II US Remington M1903A3 BOLT ACTION .30-06 Springfield C&R Rifle
FLAMING BOMB Marked with “RA/6-43” Marked Barrel
Description: WORLD WAR II US Remington M1903A3 BOLT ACTION .30-06 Springfield C&R Rifle FLAMING BOMB Marked with “RA/6-43” Marked Barrel Here we present a C&R Remington U.S. Model 1903A3 Bolt Action Infantry Rifle, made in 1942 in Ilion, New York with a production run between 1942-1944. There were only minor changes between the Model 1903 and the Model 1903A3. The sights were changed to an aperture (peep) system mounted on the receiver, and the rifle was modified for easier production with stamped metal parts and a somewhat different grip and stock. The M1903 Springfield, formally the United States Rifle, is an American five-round magazine fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle, used primarily during the first half of the 20th century. The Model 1903 was, of course, officially adopted by the United States military on June 19, 1903. It was issued en mass during World War I through World War II. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster-firing semi-automatic eight-round M1 Garand starting in 1936. However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War II, since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle during World War II, the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War. It remains popular as a civilian firearm, historical collector's piece, a competitive shooting rifle, and as a military drill rifle. This rifle would have been issued during World War II and very likely used in combat. This Model 1903 rifle had a production run from 1903 through 1949 with over 3,000,000 produced. The overall condition is very good. Armory refurbished. The action is excellent. The bore is in fine condition: shiny bright with sharp rifling. The stock is solid and smooth throughout with clear Ordnance inspector markings and arsenal markings. The barrel is dated 6-43. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24 inches. Caliber: .30-06 Springfield Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee.
