Description: 1970s US Military REMINGTON Model 541X .22 LR TRAINING Rifle LONG RIFLE C&R Excellent Condition Trainer Rifle Here we present a C&R U.S. Military Remington Model 541X Bolt Action Training Rifle, chambered in .22 Long Rifle Rimfire, made circa 1972-83 in Ilion, New York. This Model 541X target trainer is U.S. Property marked and was designed exclusively for the United States War Department and intended solely for the use of the U.S. Armed Forces. These rifles were used by the U.S. Army Shooting Team. There were only 9,077 manufactured during its production run. This rifle was designed and built as a bolt action .22 Caliber Long Rifle rimfire with a 27” blue steel heavy barrel and action. It has a five round magazine and a hardwood walnut stock. It has a globe front sight with the post insert. The overall condition is excellent. Original finish preserved. The action is robust and smooth. Bright bore. This example sports an excellent stock with negligible wear. Clear markings. “US” is stamped on the receiver. Rear sight is absent. This firearm is classified as C&R Barrel is 27 inches.
