Description:
Serial #39644, .22 S,L,LR, 24 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a pre-WWII Remington Model 121 A "Fieldmaster" pump action, tube fed, rifle manufactured in 1940. The field grade remains in excellent condition with the barrel and receiver showing about 96-98% of the original blue with some very mild use marks and light scratches with wear around the outer edge of the take down surfaces. The magazine tube shows about 87-90% of the original blue with the contact surface finish worn from light use. The plain pistol grip walnut stock is solid showing some light wear and scattered use marks with small contusions on the bottom with and excellent, original metal Remington butt plate. The flat bottom, semi-beaver tail forend is in excellent condition with very light use marks. For some reason there is a small gap between the frame section and the buttstock/trigger assembly. The gun has been test fired and works great. An excellent example of the pre-War Remington Model 121 that is not often found in such high condition. FFL or C&R
