This Heavy Barrel Varmint Model (700 BDL VS) is chambered in 22-250 which may be the quintessential near perfect Varmint Round. Inexpensive and readily avail ammo, ballistics approaching 220 Swift with long barrel life and capable to ranges up to 500 yards.
This gun is a beauty, aside from a few dents and handling marks on the handsom American Walnut stock it is in not far from new condtion when it left the old Remington Factory in Illion NY in 1985. it is a 3d gen (distinquised byt the Euro Skip Line real cut checkering) made Jan 1985. This comes with an excellent 6x18 AO (adjustable objective) scope shown, ready for fun at the bench and loading table or coyote control. Where legal it may be used on game up to Deer in the hands of a careful shooter. These beautiful rifles (we have a number of both Rem and Winchester) Varmint rifles...see our other items) were lst produced in 1967 and are a more deluxe version of the Viet Era Sniper Rifles. They are known for more or less one hole accuracy right out of the box. We have been using these ourselves since they were lst introduced in the 1960's and love them.
