Except for the most minor blemishes easily touched up and issue with VR at the front site it is EXACTLY as it was when it left the factory in Illion Ny 58 yrs ago. No scope had ever been mounted, no sling swivels added no recoil pad added, even the floor plate/trigger guard most often found warped is approx perfect !!!!! The VR (vent rib) plastic becomes brittle over time and most often these develop small cracks at or near the front sight (see pics) ...We can walk you thru the easy and quick fix for this or the ribs can easily be replaced but this is NOT necessary...This gun could not be much nicer. For those younger shooters who don't remember these; lst introduced in 1964 and ran in one iteraton or another for over a decade (We also have 2 of the magnum version chambered in 600 mag) They were an evolution from some target models and are known to be exceptionally accurate as well a s shor tfast handling littie carbine with 18 1/2" barrel, overall lenght of only 37 inches and weighs only 5.8lbs. Chambered in potent .308 this little carbine is capable on game up to Moose and Elk
