Description:
This is a lightly-used Remington Model 700 Long Range rifle chambered in .300 Win Mag.  This particular Model 700 variation was designed for precise long-range shooting and Remington did an excellent job in designing and executing it.  This is truly a serious factory-built long-range rifle.  Remington did not cut any corners here.  This handsome rifle features a fully free-floated 26" inch heavy-contoured match-quality barrel with a concave target-style muzzle crown for the best accuracy possible.  The heavy contour of the barrel resists heat well, the rifling was designed to work with multiple factory and hand-loaded .300 Win Mag cartridges as perfectly as possible, and the free-floating of the barrel keeps the barrel harmonics as consistent as possible throughout multiple shot strings and temperature fluctuations.  The receiver was machined from solid steel bar-stock for exceptional strength and precise tolerances, and the barreled-action was fit into the HS Precision target style stock with an aluminum bedding block.  The stock features a black base color with a textured gray webbed pattern applied to the exterior.  It has an oversized forearm with a flat ramped or tapered bottom face for stability when rested, and the ramped design allows for moving the point of aim up or down just by moving the rifle forward or backward when rested on the forearm.  There are two sling swivel studs on the forearm as well for easy bipod installation. The action on this rifle is extremely smooth and precise, and the lock-up to the barrel is superb with zero wiggle.  The trigger in this Remington is a Timney adjustble model and it breaks like a glass rod with a light pull.  All of the controls are in perfect working order on this rifle, and all it needs is a scope and some mounts to be ready for the woods or range.  If you are looking for a high-powered rifle that is capable of extreme accuracy at any range, this is it!
