For your consideration is this Remington 700P in .308 Winchester. The Police model 700 is designed to drive those tacks and did so very well for the police many years ago. This is a fun one. It's not light, but it will produce very tight groups in the .308 ammunition. The stock is excellent, and the barrel has some light oxidation on it. It's nothing the new owner couldn't do if they so choose. It's such a solid feeling firearm at almost 10 lbs. The bore is about 95-98% with clean crisp rifling all the way up the barrel. The trigger feels great, but of course there is always room to make it fit your preference.
