Remington Hepburn .219 Zipper Vintage Custom Target - Varmint Rifle with Weaver K-10 Scope

This Listing from an avid Collector-Shooter is a Used Remington Hepburn Heavy Barrel Target - Varmint Rifle in .219 Zipper caliber. It has a modern 28-Inch x (approximately) 1-Inch Diameter Round Barrel with an Excellent Bore and Rifling. This Mid 20th Century Utilitarian Custom Rifle has no serial number or factory markings. “LOVELL” is stamped on the left side of the barrel ahead of the receiver, suggesting he was the maker. Lovell (father of the 22-3000 and R2) and Donaldson (father of the 219 Wasp) reportedly worked together back in the day. The Raised Monte-Carlo and Elongated Pistol Grip Buttstock is dark with age and has nicely figured grain that matches the Straight-Cut Semi Beaver-Tail Forend. There’s a Mershon White Line Rubber Butt Pad (from before their acquisition by Pachmayr). A Weaver K-10 E Scope is mounted on Weaver Bases & Rings. Ahead of the front scope base there’s another pair of drilled, tapped, and flush screw-filled holes for a dovetail base. Bluing on the Barrel is well-preserved with the Receiver and other parts showing mostly blue with some smooth patina. Owing to the Custom Barrel, Stock and Metal Refinishing that was done long ago, condition is best judged from the photos. All mechanical functions are tight and functional – making this an excellent working vintage-collectible shooter.
