Remington Model 8 Semi-Auto Rifle .25 Remington Takedown
Description:
The Remington Model 8 semi-auto rifle is one of the first commercially available semi-auto rifles and has a great historical background. They were first produced in 1908 and marketed is a hunting rifle for dangerous game. All Model 8’s are takedown rifles for easy transport to where ever the hunt may be. This rifle was made in 1913 and is chambered in the .25 Remington cartridge which was the rarest chambering of the Model 8. The .25 Remington was more for deer sized animals, although was reportedly strong enough to take black bears as well. This would be a great gun for a collector of early semi-automatic rifles, a collector of Remington rifles, or a hunter that really likes the history behind turn of the century hunting rifles.
