WORLD WAR II U.S. Remington M1903 BOLT ACTION .30-06 Springfield C&R Rifle
With WEAVER K4 60-B SCOPE & HERTER’S MUZZLE BRAKE
Description: WORLD WAR II U.S. Remington M1903 BOLT ACTION .30-06 Springfield C&R Rifle With WEAVER K4 60-B SCOPE & HERTER’S MUZZLE BRAKE Here we present a Remington U.S. Model 1903 Bolt Action Infantry Rifle, made circa 1944. The Model 1903 was officially adopted by the United States military on June 19, 1903. It was issued en mass during World War I through World War II. It was officially replaced as the standard infantry rifle by the faster-firing semi-automatic eight-round M1 Garand starting in 1936. However, the M1903 Springfield remained in service as a standard issue infantry rifle during World War II, since the U.S. entered the war without sufficient M1 rifles to arm all troops. It also remained in service as a sniper rifle during World War II, the Korean War, and even in the early stages of the Vietnam War. It remains popular as a civilian firearm, historical collector's piece, a competitive shooting rifle, and as a military drill rifle. This rifle would have been issued during World War II. This one has been modified with the removal of the original front and rear sights, the bending of the bolt handle, modification of the stock, addition of the scope, and a muzzle device in the form of a Herter’s Recoil Eliminator which is essentially a muzzle break. Springfield Armory marked and 1942 dated barrel. The overall condition is good. The action is excellent. The bore is in very good condition with strong rifling. The stock is solid and shows use. The top handguard moves back and forth to some extent. The leather sling is old and well-used. The scope has clear glass and is good for the age. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 25 inches in length. Caliber: .30-06 Springfield Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio and Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1600 #228428 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
