FYP Remington Model 721 Rifle Mfd 1948 30-06 with Lyman Alaskan Scope in Stith Mount NICE
Description: SOLD: Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you a “FYP” first year production Remington model 721 rifle. The rifle is chambered in 30-06 caliber and wears a barrel code of “OTT” which tells us it was manufactured in July of 1948. These early guns were not drilled and tapped on the rear bridge, and this one is still that way. So the original purchaser installed a Stith scope mount and ring system on the rifle. And in that is a Lyman Alaskan scope. The Stith mounting system is complete and in excellent condition. The Lyman Alaskan scope is also in excellent condition with excellent optics with no issues. Inside is clean, clear and crisp with a crosshair and post reticule. The stock has a pad installed with the LOP of 13 5/8” over that pad. The metal on the rifle is just gorgeous with very little signs of use or wear. The stock has a few minor marks and dings from use with no chips, cracks or repairs. Overall the complete package is just in excellent condition as you can see, especially being 68 years old! The bore on the rifle is excellent and it still wears the factory sights. An “Old School” setup that are hard to find in the condition that this one is! $725 plus $60 shipping to your FFL or valid C&R holder. 3% convenience fee added to the total for CC payments. All firearms come with a 3-day inspection from D2D’s. Dust 2 Dollars offers layaway, email us for details. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
