Other than the addition of a pad and slighlty shortened stock this gun looks like it just left Remington nearly 50 yrs ago.
Chambered in ultra versatile 30 06 it is one of the quintesential deer rifles of all time, esp in the woods of the North East.. Fast pump action allows for follow up shots without having to take ones eye out of the sight picture to prevent wounded or lost game. If the stock is too short (12 7/16th) they are readily avail on ebay and other places...as nearly as we recall both the 760 and 742 stocks are interchangable but not certain .
THE PERFECTLY PERIOD CORRECT REFIELD 2X7 is NOT included but may be purchased by the buyer of the rifle for the bargain price of $ 75.00
