We offer you a Limited Edition “Classic Version” Remington Model 700 Bolt Action Rifle in the Very Desirable .257 Roberts Caliber from 1982. In 1981 Remington introduced their “CLASSIC” version of the model 700 bringing back popular calibers from the past. They continued this series until 2005. The second year the caliber chosen was the .257 Roberts. The rifle has a 24 inch barrel with an excellent bore with no issues. The bluing on the rifle is in excellent condition with a few wear marks. On top of the receiver are a Redfield 1-piece scope mount and a set of 1 inch scope rings. The stock shows several marks and some dings as shown. The most distracting are shown in a lone picture for your consideration. However, the checkering panels are all in excellent condition as you can see. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. 257 ROBERTS”. The left side of the barrel at the receiver is marked with an inspection mark, “OC” date code and “30”. With “O” being the month code for July and “C” being the year code 1982. The left side of the receiver is marked “B6402589” and “REMINGTON / MODEL 700”. The right side of the barrel is marked “V” in a triangle, “R.E.P.” in an oval followed by an inspection mark. The underside of the bolt handle is marked “E” and the body of the bolt is scribed with “2589”. This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $65. No outbound sales tax is collected.
