D2D has completed over 35,000 offerings during the past 22 years of business! We offer you a “Very Fine” Remington Model 700 ADL Deluxe Bolt Action Rifle in .308 Winchester made in December of 1965. This is a 3rd year production Remington Model 700 ADL Deluxe rifle that was manufactured in December of 1965. These early versions had the cutout at the back of the receiver. It wears a 22 inch barrel that has an excellent bore with no issues. The sights were removed at some time and filler screws put in the holes. The bluing on the barrel is in very fine condition with some wear the muzzle as pictured. The receiver finish is in excellent condition with light use marks. The ADL Deluxe has a Walnut Monte Carlo stock with some figure in it. There are small marks and dings from use but no cracks, chips or repairs. It wears the original metal butt plate as shown. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. / PAT. NO. 2,473,373 2,514,981 – 308 WIN.”. Near the receiver is marked “9 X M” followed by two proof marks. The left side of the receiver is marked “168824 REMINGTON / MODEL 700”. On the right side of the barrel is the magnaflux mark, Remington proof “R.E.P. in an oval” followed by the test mark. The bolt is hand scribed with the matching serial number “168824”. Overall this is a very fine example of a very early short action model 700. This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $55. It will be shipped in a double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
