Description:
The SKS is a semi-automatic rifle developed by the Soviet Union in the mid 1940s (Some prototypes may have even small amounts of action in the Battle of Berlin). It was quickly adopted by multiple eastern bloc and communist asian countries (most notably China). The rifle was quickly made obsolete by the AK47 which was adopted by the Soviets in the early 50s. Despite being made “obsolete” very quickly, it still saw some use amongst guerrillas and smaller nations in their national guards, camp/prison guards. They became popular amongst civilians as sporting, hunting, and collectable rifles.
 
For Here is a Type 56 AKA the Chinese SKS. Wooden stock is in decent shape with minor scuffs and scratches throughout. There appears to be a thin, surface level crack going from the rear of the receiver to the magazine. Blueing on metal parts is in good shape with some blueing gone near the end of the barrel/muzzle. Bayonet is in fantastic shape, still VERY sharp. The bore is in immaculate shape! All moving parts (including the trigger) appear to work as they should. Based on symbols stamped on the receiver this one made is factory 36. ALL PARTS HAVE MATCHING NUMBERS. Import stamps are faded and hard to make out. Comes with a sling!
