Reproduction Model 1841 Mississippi .54 caliber muzzleloding rifle. The barrel is made by "Bobby" R A Hoyt, marked .538, 1/56" ROT, with multi-groove (7-I think). The lock is an original E. Whitney, 1850 New Haven. The buttplate is also from an original Mississippi. Tulip tipped ramrod. Breech end of barrel is cut for the Snell patent saber bayonet. Front sight is uncut so owner can adjust to their own sight picture. Rear sight is a reproduction of the original "long range" sight. Barrel is browned as originals' would have been. The rifle has only been test fired. Rifle is sold pending receipt of funds.
