Custom Made H. M. Gilmore .50 Cal Percussion Muzzleloader with a 38” Octagon barrel. Very clean. Beautiful metal-to-wood fit. I purchased it in a gunshop about 20 years ago in northeast Wyoming while longbow hunting in the Sundance area. The lady who owned the shop was widowed and this rifle was given to her late husband by Mr. Gilmore, a well respected local maker, many years before in lieu of payment on another item. I was the first to fire it, used it sparingly, the last time taking a whitetail here in Wisconsin about a dozen years ago. To assist my aging eyes, I repaced the rear site with a buckhorn design. The rear trigger must be set before the front trigger will fire. I have a number of accoutrements that I will include at no cost. I also have a powder horn and bag but would have to add an additional charge for that.
Shipping cost is $45 and includes shipping insurance. I can only ship to the lower 48 states. PLEASE KNOW YOUR OWN LOCAL AND STATE LAWS PRIOR TO PURCHASE! Since I don't know precisely if the gun is over 50 years in age, I would need to send it to an FFL holder.
