Post-KOREAN WAR Era Romanian CUGIR ARSENAL Mosin-Nagant M1944 C&R CARBINE
Dated “1954” with FOLDING SPIKE BAYONET!
Description: Post-KOREAN WAR Era Romanian CUGIR ARSENAL Mosin-Nagant M1944 C&R CARBINE Dated “1954” with FOLDING SPIKE BAYONET! Here we present a C&R Romanian Mosin-Nagant Model 44 Carbine, made in 1954 at the Cugir Arsenal in Cugir, Romania. This Model 1944 is a variant of the original Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 1891. After WWII the Soviet Union shared much of its weapons technology with its satellite countries, including the Mosin rifles and carbines. These Romanian M44 Mosin-Nagant Carbines were manufactured by the Cugir Arsenal in low numbers with most estimates being around 70,000 during its three year production run in the middle of the 1950s making them quite scarce today. The Soviet Model 1891 known in the West as the Mosin–Nagant and in Russia as Mosin's rifle was a five-shot, bolt action, internal magazine fed military rifle developed from 1882 to 1891 and used by the armed forces of the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union and various other nations. It is one of the most mass-produced military bolt-action rifles in history with over 37 million units having been made since its inception in 1891, and, in spite of its age, it has been used in various conflicts around the world up to the present day. Its specifications are very similar to the M1938, with the unique addition of a permanently affixed, side-folding cruciform-spike bayonet. A groove for the folded bayonet is inlet into the right side of the stock. The overall condition is fine. Robust action. Bright bore. Solid stock. Sharp markings. Numbers match except for the magazine door. “1954” dated. “CAI” import marked. This example has been nicely refinished. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20-1/2 inches. Caliber: 7.62x54 R Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1550 #220453 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
