This SAR-1, AK-47 style rifle was manufactured in Romania by C.N. ROMARM S.A./Cugir Arms and imported into the U.S. by C.A.I., St. Albans, VT. Its year of manufacture is 2000. It has the following features:
- Total length: 34 ½ inches
- Total weight: 7 lbs, 13 oz. (with sling and empty 30-round magazine)
- Barrel: 16-inches
- Length of pull: 13 inches
- Trigger pull weight:
- Sights: Adjustable front sight. Adjustable rear sight with sliding sight escalator
Accessories include nylon sling (after-market), two 30-round magazines and one ten-round magazine. There are NO box, papers, or other accessories.
Markings
Right side of the receiver marked “MADE BY C.N. ROMARM S.A./CUGIR IN ROMANIA / IMPORTED C.A.I. ST. ALBANS, VT”, “S” and “F” by the safety lever. The left side of the trunnion and just under the receiver cap is stamped “S1-25806-2000”. Just below that and just behind the forend is inscribed “SAR 1 CAL. 7.62x39mm”. The rear of the receiver rear cap is marked “25806”.
This rifle has been well maintained. Its overall condition is 99 percent. The metal and wood parts are in excellent condition, as is the hard rubber checkered pistol grip. There is no corrosion on this gun.
