British Snider Mk. III Rifle by London Armoury Co.

Description:
NSN, .577 Snider, 36 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore that has strong rifling. This rifle has an 1856-dated, Enfield-marked lock overall warm, plum-brown patina throughout with traces of muted color case-hardening on the “SNIDER / (Arrow) / PATENT" and "3"-marked breechblock. The brass trigger guard and nosecap have a mild yellow-ochre patina, while the walnut stock has a ruddy oil finish added over scattered minor handling marks and surface blemishes, mostly on the sides of the buttstock, which has a crisp Enfield cartouche. An original ramrod is included, as is an original chained firing pin protector, and the action lock-up is tight and fully functional. This is a great looking Snider Mk. III, and is in fine-near excellent condition overall. Antique
