Description:
Serial #5902908, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle has a ca. 1956-made receiver with a 1953-dated, Korean War era SA barrel. All parts are correct, Springfield-made and marked, with the metal retaining 95-97% of an armory-applied parkerized finish that has silvered very slightly at the muzzle, along some of the high edges and projections, as well as along the bolt lugs and op-rod raceway. The DoD Eagle-stamped walnut stock and handguards have scattered minor handling marks and blemishes throughout the original military oil finish. The stock compartment is empty and an OD green canvas M1 sling is installed. The rifle was purchased through the CMP, but the original paperwork has been lost. The rifle will be shipped in the original shipping box. This is a handsome Garand, and is in excellent, little-used condition overall. FFL or C&R
