Description: Attention: World Class Rifle Collectors! This is a truly extraordinary ORIGINAL & ALL MATCHING example of one of WW2's most famous sniper rifles. The quality & condition is SECOND TO NONE! If you are looking for a premium example of the quintessential British Sniper rifle of WW2... LOOK NO FURTHER!! This ORIGINAL & UNRESTORED 1944 BSA manufactured & converted by Holland & Holland No. 4 Mk I (T) Enfield sniper rifle is fitted with the original 1944 No. 32 Mk II scope W/ matching numbers mount, ORIGINAL leather sling, and RETAINS the cleaning rope and oiler in the butt compartment!!! The left of the stock socket is correctly marked: "M47C/1944/C31820/TR". The "M47C" mark means this rifle was built by B.S.A Shirley Rifles. Once this rifle proved itself to be far more accurate than the typical rifle, BSA would put these speical rifles aside to be converted to full on sniper rifles. This conversion process was done by Holland & Holland, which can be noted by the "S51"code stamped on the bottom of the buttstock indicating its sniper rifle conversion by H&H. The "TR" stands for "Telescopic Rifle" The stock is GORGEOUS! The comb of the stock has the correct walnut cheekpiece properly held on with two wood screws. Matching serial number "C31820" marked on the bolt handle and "31820" stamped on the bottom of the forend. The FANTASTIC 1944 No. 32 Mk II is of the FINEST quality and one of the best examples I have seen to date. The scope tube is correctly marked "TEL SIGHTING/No 32 Mk II/OS.1650A/1944 No 15378", with the standard post and cross-hair reticle pattern, and fitted in a CORRECT cast scope mount W/ matching serial numbered "V/36490" on the left. The scope rings are also correctly consecutively matching numbered 21 & 22 G. Rating Definition Overall: Exceptionally Fine + Retains 98% plus wartime arsenal applied blue and black finishes with some light handling marks The wood is excellent with distinct edges, some light handling marks, and crisp stamping. Mechanically excellent. The scope and mount are both excellent, retaining 99% black painted finish with EXCEPTIONALLY crisp clear optics. Overall, this is one of the finest examples of a genuine WW2 British No. 4 Mk I (T) Sniper rifle offered on the market. If you are a collector who wants to purchase a British WW2 Sniper rifle, but priortize the price &/or are looking for a deal, this is most likely not the rifle for you...
