SER#A9608, 303 British, 20 1/2” barrel with a lightly-frosted bore with good rifling. The metal surfaces of this post war carbine retain about 75% factory reapplied black Suncorite enamel finish with the remainder toning to a gray-brown patina. The hardwood stocks remain in good condition as cleaned with dings, dents and handling marks throughout and the buttstock. The carbine is not import-marked or ENGLAND export marked and comes equipped with one magazine, the bolt is not serial-matched or has correct as left factory correct hollow handle, the correct 800-yard military sights by BSA and rubber recoil pad are intact. Correct fluted barrel with green Suncorite finish and cross bolt stocks are indications of Indian service and FTR factory repair. A very handy, hard-hitting British carbine with an interesting service history that passes the GO gauge and functions well mechanically.
