Antique BRITISH “Brown Bess” FLINTLOCK Musket Sling Bayonet .75 Nepalese Period Copy of Great Britain’s Iconic Musket
Description: Antique BRITISH “Brown Bess” FLINTLOCK Musket Sling Bayonet .75 Nepalese Period Copy of Great Britain’s Iconic Musket Here we present an antique Brown Bess Style Flintlock Musket, made circa the early-1800s in Southeast Asia. The British military first adopted the famous Brown Bess in 1722 and, though there were updates along the way, used the same basic design until about 1838! So much of the world was touched by the British during this period, from North America to Europe to Asia, and these muskets were there in the action. The Seven Years War, the French and Indian War, the American Revolutionary War, the Napoleonic Wars, and, of course, the British East India Company’s exploits are just some of the notable events that occurred during the BB’s service life. This one is a very close and faithful copy and appears to have been made in Nepal or thereabouts. There are British style markings on the lock but the left side of the barrel bears no proof marks. This one comes with a marked bayonet and a later white leather sling that makes this the complete package. A great opportunity to get your hands on a very influential musket! The overall condition is Good. The action is strong. Th bore is dark with age. The markings are clear. An original flintlock survivor! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 39-3/4 inches. Caliber: .75 Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #190020 SOLD Antique: Yes |
