Australian Pattern Martini Cadet Rifle by BSA
Description: Serial #321, .310 Cadet, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a “COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" marked rifle with kangaroo on the receiver, and extensive unit markings. The metal retains 70-75% of the original blue finish with silvering along the high and exposed edges, and a mellow plum-brown patina on the balance of the metal. The walnut forend and buttstock have scattered minor handling marks and light blemishes in the armory reapplied military oil finish along with a few tiny impact marks around the forend pin on the right side. The rifle has a series of crisp unit markings on the right side of the frame: “ACCC / NSW / 3903 / 309". The markings denote: Australian Commonwealth Corps of Cadets; New South Wales. The mechanism is tight and fully functional, and this is a very good-fine example of a New South Wales Cadet rifle.
