Description: WWII GERMAN Gustloff Werke bcd Code Model 98 Rifle Germany’s Primary Battle Rifle of World War II Here we present a Gustloff Werke “bcd” Code Model 98 Mauser Rifle, made circa 1941. This rifle is representative of Germany’s primary infantry arm during World War II. It remains the standard by which even modern bolt action rifles are judged. The left side of the frame is marked “MOD. 98” The top is marked “bys/bcd/41”. There are also various German proof and acceptance markings. This rifle is also equipped with a bayonet and sling. The overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces have been nicely refinished. The markings are clear and legible. The numbers on the barrel and receiver match, though other parts are not matching. The stock is in very good condition. The bore is clear and bright. The action on this rifle is excellent.
