Swedish Mauser M38 Carbine in 6.5 X 55 Swede. Tack Driver Mint C&R Eligible
Description: I am offering a Swedish model M38 Mauser carbine short rifle in 6.5X55. This rifle was made in 1912 by Carl Gustavs and apparently converted to M38 in preparation for WWII. This rifle looks like it was issued and barely used. The metal finish is near perfect on most all the surfaces. The muzzle was NOT threaded for the blank firing device. Receiver and bolt show numbers and they all match. Barrel band and stock buttplate do not match. The stock is solid with limited signs of use. The bore looks bright and shiny with great rifling and the stock disc has the rifle rated with a #1 bore. Bullet test at the muzzle show very strong rifling. The sling looks to be an original Swedish in serviceable shape. This rifle comes with its cleaning rod and front sight hood as well. The 6.5MM Creedmoor is the hot round in the last few years and this round is 100 years old plus and still loaded and shot with amazing results and similiar capabilities. They both shoot the same bullet at about the same velocity but are not interchangeable of course. The Swedish Mauser is one of the reasons for this because it because they built that early 6.5 Swede to match the absolutely best bullet coefficient they could imagine. The barrel is import marked on the front of the barrel. This rifle is in good shape and should be a fine shooter as well. Shipping will be $60.00 for UPS ground with tracking. I will need a copy of your C&R or an FFL before I can ship. Money orders USPS only. Bank checks or Personal checks (may delay shipping) but are welcome. To purchase this firearm simply send me a message via GI with your contact info. I will respond via e-mail with all the information required to complete the purchase. If you must contact me via phone, please text. Keep in mind I am on the West coast and if you call me at 5AM before I've had my coffee we will be off to a rough start. I am an FFL. I will provide my FFL with the shipped item. Total price is sales price plus shipping price. SOLD |
