Daewoo Maxi K1A1 Semi Auto Rifle Chambered in 5.56 NATO Caliber **Very Collectable - Unique**
Description: For consideration is a very nice Daewoo K1A1 Maxi semi auto rifle in 5.56 NATO caliber. The Daewoo Precision Industries K1/K1A is a South Korean selective-fire assault rifle developed by Agency for Defense Development (ADD) and manufactured by Daewoo Precision Industries (now S&T Motiv) and Dasan Machineries (since 2016). It entered service in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces in 1981. Although the K1 uses .223 Remington, it is classified as a submachine gun by the South Korean military and the manufacturer, because the K1 was intended to replace the M3 submachine gun. This particular example is in very good condition mechanically and physically. There exists some handling marks and high edge wear but nothing serious at all. The barrel has a good bore with strong rifling. Sights are adjustable A2 post at front and adjustable aperture at the rear. Collapsing stock works as it should as does the safety and action. The rifle uses standard NATO STANAG magazines. Attachment of a sling is quick and simple with front and rear attachment points.
