1941 Swiss K31 Bolt-Action Rifle 7.5X55mm Matching Numbers w/ Troop Tag, 2 original stripper clips

Description:
Pre-owned Swiss-manufactured Schmidt-Rubin K31 straight-pull bolt action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss. The rifle is serial number 6697xx, which places its date of manufacture as mid-1941. The receiver, barrel ring, bolt body and magazine are factory numbers matching. The bluing on the receiver, barrel and magazine is in good to very good condition. There is slight thinning of the finish on the barrel band, bayonet lug and at the rear of the receiver where the cocking lever/safety is. The barrel is 25.67" (652mm) and the bore is bright and shiny with very good rifling. The barrel has 4 rifling grooves and a twist rate of 1:10.63" (1:270mm). There is a troop tag under the steel buttplate.

The K31 uses a unique, formed phenolic resin-embedded paper stripper clip with a tinned metal edge to feed the 6-round detachable metal box magazine. The rifle has a two-stage trigger and the iron sights consist of a tangent rear sight and a hooded front sight post. The wood stock is in good shape with minor handling and wear marks. The steel buttplate shows normal wear and usage.

This listing includes the K31 rifle, original box magazine as described above, and two original stripper clips.
