The 6.5X52mm Italian Model 1891 served Italy through WWII. The 31"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The metal has approx. 90% blue with areas turning blue-brown and with the buttplate and bands being mostly bright. The chamber knox form is marked on the left side with two proof and inspection marks with the serial number on the next flat and TERNI on the top. There are NO import marks as are usually found on these rifles. The stock is very good with light issue usage and a series of dings on the right below the rear sight. It has visible issue stamps on the left rear butt and a star on the right butt. The cleaning rod and swivels are present. The action functions correctly. The Model 1891 is a must for any Italian or European military rifle collection and this one is better than most.
