**sold**Polish Circle 11 Nagant Model 1944 Bolt Action Service Rifle in 7.62x54R **Mfg 1951 - Awesome Condition**
Description: **SOLD**For consideration is a very nice Circle 11 Mosin-Nagant Model 1944 carbine in 7.62x54R caliber. This carbine was introduced into service in late 1944 (with 50,000 service-test examples produced in 1943) and remained in production until 1948. They were produced from 1943 to 1948 at the Izhevsk arsenal and only 1944 at Tula. Its specifications are very similar to the M1938, with the unique addition of a permanently affixed, side-folding cruciform-spike bayonet. A groove for the folded bayonet is inlet into the right side of the stock. From February 1944, this type of carbine was issued to Red Army infantry troops as a replacement for the standard rifle. These were in use not only by the Soviet Union, but also its various satellite nations. Production in Poland continued for a number of years after Russian made rifles ceased production earlier. This 1951 vintage rifle is in very good overall condition showing minimal wear on the metal and wood components. The barrel has a bright bore with strong rifling. Sights are a hooded post up front and an adjustable rear. Folding bayonet up front. For a military surplus service rifle this Circle 11 M44 is truly outstanding and would make a great shooter or addition to a collection of militaria.
